The craze of Facebook among users doesn’t seem to be getting over as more and more users are becoming a part of this world’s number one social networking site. The obsession among the young ones for Facebook is so much that they sign up for FB even when they are ineligible to become a member of it. While Facebook allows one to become a member only if he or she is at least 13 years old, the “yet to be thirteen” ones mention their incorrect birth date in order to overcome the age criteria for making a Facebook debut. Well, if you are one of such FB users who provided the incorrect birth date because you were underage or for any other reason, you can easily change your birthday on your Facebook account by following the step-by-step instructions provided below.
Steps to Change Birthday on Facebook
ON COMPUTER
1.) On your computer, open a web browser and sign in to your Facebook account.
2.) Once you are logged in to your Facebook account, you will be directed to the News Feed section of your account.
3.) Here, you will need to click on your Profile name located on the ribbon on the upper section of the page. You will be directed to your profile page.
4.) In the profile page, you will need to click on the About option located next to Timeline option. You will be taken to the About section of your Facebook account.
5.) Here, you will see your phone numbers and date of birth listed on the right-hand side panel. Simply hover your mouse cursor over your birth date, you will see “Edit your contact and basic info” option. Click on it.
6.) As you will click on the “Edit your contact and basic info” option, you will be taken to the CONTACT AND BASIC INFORMATION page of your Facebook account.
7.) Go to the BASIC INFORMATION section on this page and simply move your mouse cursor over your birth date under Date of birth option to get the Edit option.
8.) Click on the Edit option and change your date of birth.
9.) Once you are done making the changes to your date of birth, click on the Save Changes button to save the changes.
10.) The date of birth for your Facebook account will get changes.
ON ANDROID
1.) On your Android device, launch the Facebook application.
2.) Once the app gets opened on your screen, tap on the Menu Bar icon (three horizontal lines). This will direct you to the next screen.
3.) On the next screen, tap on your Name. You will be taken your account profile where you will need to tap on the About option.
4.) In the About section, scroll down to locate the Basic info section. Under Basic info section, you will need to click on the Edit option (pen icon) next to your date of birth. You will be taken to next screen.
5.) Then, on the next screen, change your birth date and year. When done, scroll down and click on the Save button located on the lower-right corner of the screen.
