  3. Then, you will need to select the POP or IMAP option and click on the Next
  4. Next, you will need to enter all the required details in the relevant fields and click the More Settings
  5. Then, you will need to go to the Outgoing Server tab and make sure that the checkbox next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication option and also next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  6. After that, you will need to go to the Advanced tab and make sure that your settings are as follows:

  • Secure – Port: 993and Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
  • Insecure – Port: 143 and Security Type: None (Accept all certificates
  • Not ticked: This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
  • Use the following type of encrypted connection is None

Note: If you are using Secure SSL / TLS Settings, you will need to select the checkbox next to “This service requires a secure connection (SSL)” option in both Outgoing and Incoming mails.

Method 2

  1. Open Outlook. On your computer and select the File option located on the upper left menu bar. In the File option, you will need to select the Info and Account settings option. In the Info and Account option, you will need to select the Add Account button and then the Account Settings.
  2. On the next screen, you will need to enter your email address in the provided field and select the Advanced After that, you will need to select Let me set up my account manually option and click on the Connect option.
  3. As you will click on the Connect option, you will be taken to the subsequent screen where you will need to select the IMAP
  4. On the next screen, you will need to enter the following incoming and outgoing server details on your screen.
