NOTE: If you are looking to configure your Hover email account on Mobile Devices, consider the following:

  • The Gmail app will no longer work. You will need to access the email application provided with the operating system of your device.
  • Make sure to add your TDS email address and password as a new account in the application. Your new email settings will be detected automatically.

If you are looking to reconfigure your tds.net email account on a desktop client, you will need to configure our desktop client with the following settings to receive TDS email from the new system.

  1. To begin with, you will need to launch the Email application on your Android device.
  2. Once you have opened the email application on your Android device and if there is already an email account configured, you will need to navigate to the phone Settings>Add account>then Email to reach the Add Accounts section. (The layout of the settings screen may vary depending on the version of android and the model of the device you are using).
  3. Next, you will need to enter your TDS e-mail address and password in the provided field and select the Manual Setup option. You will be directed to the next screen.
  4. On the next screen, you will need to select the IMAP Account option. You will again be directed to the next screen where you will need to provide the following information for the relevant fields:

For Incoming server settings, you will need to enter the following information in the relevant fields on your screen:

  • Email Address: Enter your complete TDS account email address
  • Username: Your full TDS email address
  • Password: Enter your TDS email account password
  • IMAP Server: mail.tds.net
  • Security Type: SSL
  • Port: 993
  • Once you are done entering the required information in the relevant fields on your screen, you will need to press the Next button. You will be directed to the next screen where you will need to provide the following information in the appropriate fields:

For Outgoing Server Settings, you will need to enter the following information in the relevant fields on your screen.

  • SMTP Server: mail.tds.net
  • Security Type: TLS
  • Port: 587
  • Make sure that the check box next to the option – Require sign-in is selected.
  • Username: Enter your complete TDS email address
  • Password: Enter your TDS email account password
  • Once you are done providing the required information in the relevant fields, you will need to press the Next button.
  • Then, again you will need to press the Next button

NOTE: Here, the Default account options shouldn’t need to change

  • Now, you will need to enter your name in the prompted field as you would like it to make it appear in the “From:” field of all your outgoing email messages.
  • Once you have made the required changes, you will need to press the Done button.
  • Congratulations! Your tds.net email account has been configured successfully to your Android device.
